| | Hello my lovelies, I hope you all had fantastic days.
PLEASE check out this site I made. It contains every post I've ever written, plus lots of my favorite thinspo. It'll really mean a lot to me .
http://www.freewebs.com/bonesarebeauty/index.htm
Um so anyway, today's extra 10 points came from writing a poem about ana/mia. To answer your questions, no you do not have to post your poems. If you give yourself the 10 points, I'm trusting that you honestly wrote one. This poem was not for me to judge how well you can write, but rather for you to express your feelings and creativity. Tomorrow's extra 10 points can be earned by ...being a kid! Ha, sort of. You can earn your 10 points by jumping rope for 15 minutes. Get to it!

Today's Topic is Vitamins.
Vitamins and minerals are essential to your growth and development. Usually the nutrients your body needs can be attained by eating a healthy, balanced diet, but since we all know we don't eat healthy, balanced diets, you can take a daily multivitamin to help give your body the nutrients it requires. But before I go on to talk about multivitamin pills, I'll give you a background on vitamins in general.
There are two types of vitamins - fat-soluble and water-soluble. Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in the fat tissues of your body and in your liver. They are stored in your body, until your body decides it needs them. Water-soluble vitamins travel through your bloodstream, dispensing nutrients by way of your circulatory system. Excess vitamins are excreted by the body.
Vitamins A, D, E and K are all fat-soluble vitamins. Vitamin A plays a large part in your eyesight and helps you see bright colors. Eggs, milk, apricots, nectarines, carrots, cantaloupe and spinach all contain Vitamin A. Vitamin D helps your body form strong bones. Vitamin D can be found in milk and milk products, fish and egg yolks. Vitamin E maintains your body's tissues and aids in the formation of red blood cells. Whole grains, leafy green vegetables, egg yolks and nuts are all sources of Vitamin E. Vitamin K helps your blood to clot when you get cut. It can be found in leafy green vegetables, liver, pork, and most dairy products.
Vitamin C and Vitamins B1, B2, B6 and B12 are all water-soluble vitamins. Vitamin C helps keep your body's tissues in good shape and helps prevent infection. Vitamin C can be found in citrus fruits, cantaloupe, strawberries, tomatoes, broccoli and cabbage, just to name a few. Now, the several B vitamins are crucial to metabolic activity. They help make energy and dispense it throughout your body when it is needed. Whole grains, fish and other types of seafood, poultry and meats, eggs, dairy products, leafy green vegetables, beans, and most citrus fruits all contain the B vitamins.
However, even if they do eat balanced diets, many people opt to take a multivitamin to ensure they're getting as many nutrients as they need. Multivitamins you could take include Centrum, One-A-Day Women's/Weight Smart, or Vitaplen Complete. Most drugstores and/or grocery stores stock multivitamins. Just remember to check the label to make sure you're getting your crucial nutrients .
